About Us

WHO WE ARE...the Georgia Association for Home Health Agencies, Inc. (GAHHA) is a non-profit organization, founded in 1979. GAHHA represents Medicare/Medicaid certified and licensed home health agencies in Georgia who serve over 145,000 home health and hospice patients and employ in excess of 85,000 Georgia residents in home health alone. GAHHA provides an organized voice statewide, region wide and nationally for home care providers.

WHAT WE DO...GAHHA fosters high standards of home care through education of providers.  We monitor both State and Federal legislation and regulations to inform members of the potential impact on home care.  GAHHA interacts with state agencies in order to maintain input in home care related policy making.

WHAT OUR MEMBERS DO...A full range of professional health care services are provided in the home under the direction of the patient's physician including, but not limited to:  Skilled Nursing, Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy,  Medical Social Services, Home Health Aide Services. We provide home infusions, wound care, disease management and education, medication management, among many others. The members of the Georgia Association for Home Health Agencies, Inc. work diligently to meet industry challenges and promote the highest standards of home care for consumers.

THE ASSOCIATION is governed by a Board of Directors which includes an Executive Committee which includes a Director of

GAHHA operates as an IRS 501(c)(6) corporation.

We currently have one part time Executive Director who manages the day-to-day operations of the Association.
